In 2007 I married the man of my dreams. Sounds cheesy huh? Well, it's not tooooo far from the truth. Steve (man of my dreams) came into my life well equipped with an old lab, a collection of mounted deer, a chest freezer full of venison, and a teensy-tiny addiction to hunting and fishing. Thanks to Steve's teensy-tiny addiction we have abundant amounts of venison and fish, among other things. During our first few years of marriage I struggled to find recipes online for whatever cut of venison we had thawing in the fridge so I took matters into my own hands and created a recipe sharing website http://www.recipesfromthewild.com/

I'm a culinary school graduate (don't judge) but don't fancy myself an expert nor want to give the anyone the impression that I know more then you. I have a good foundation of the basics and I'm not afraid of the kitchen so there!

I do not hunt, I repeat, I do not hunt, nor have a desire to (long story). I fish on occasion and I like to dig clams. Oh, and I pick berries. WAIT, I lied, at times I've been known to hunt but only for clay pigeons and only when they’re in season HA!

I desperately need an adult grammar class. As I write almost every blog entry part of my brain self consciously thinks twice about posting it but most of my brain just wants to deliver information however it comes out blah.
I did not previously work as an executive in the corporate world only to have a revelation and throw it all away to experience a new way of life, but I wish I did........that sounds exciting.

The lifestyle my husband and I live just is.  I love the little life we lead smellin' the fresh air, eatin' fresh fish, diggin' in the sand, roamin' in the woods, watchin' sunsets, watchin' sunrises....well, I don't get up that early but I did once and it was glorious.
